Patricia Backora writes articles
and stories that steer folks on the path to God’s honest-to-goodness truth.
She attacks sticky problems in the Christian church world with a healthy
dash of homespun humor and lots of good old-fashioned Bible teachin’.
What with all the wily coyote
TV preachers that twist the Bible to get richer, and religious sidewinders that threaten folks with the unpardonable sin just
to leech even more money outa the poor, there’s
plenty to get steamed up about. But there’s more than one way to skin a
cow, and the tales I tell will leave y’all in stitches. The spiritual
loco weed bein’ pawned off by religious snake oil peddlers sounds plum ridiculous when you bring out the real Bible
and hear what Jesus really does have to say about money and the proper way to make (and take!) donations. My Christian name is Tex the Tithe, and I really do beef about it when somebody passes off a piece of paper with numbers on it as a scriptural tithe!
Patricia lives in Derry, N. Ireland with her husband Tom and daughter Joy. She’s
been ridin' the trail with Jesus for a long, long time now, and the journey just gets better and better.
